From 18 to 23 february 2002 (portugal) the MedWetCoast Regional Unit organize a Regional training session : Use of the MedWet Inventories Methodologies within the MedWetCoast Project

- Audience : National experts responsible of the project database, cartography and GIS, Government focal points for inventories, National co-ordinators of the site diagnosis, Local managers, National site diagnoses co-ordinators.

- The goals of this regional training course is to :

  1. To enable participants to adopt standardised methods for data collection and producing habitat maps.
  2. Reinforce management planning and national wetland inventory activities under the MedWetCoast project.
  3. Adopt common protocol for GIS in MedWetCoast project During this training session, participants will also :
  4. Define the needs for database adaptation to countries
  5. Familiarise with the MedWet inventory methodology and with the use of the MedWet database.
